The Stunning Architecture of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy

At nearly 56 metres high, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy is the most famous tourist attraction in Tuscany. At the top it currently leans nearly 4 metres from the upright position.

Timeline:
A.D. 1173, the foundations of the tower were laid.

A.D. 1178 work halted at the 2nd floor at which point it began to lean.

A.D. 1272: work resumed at the tower until A.D. 1284

A.D. 1319: Work resumed at the tower to the 7th floor until the final completion of the Bell Chamber in A.D. 1372.
